Large Pores and Clogged Pores
"Pores" actually refers to the sebaceous gland ducts, which allow oily sebum to be released onto the skin surface.
Common areas of complaints include the T-zone, nose, and the front of the cheeks. Often, these large pores are worsened by sebum plugs (comedones) stuck in the pores.
Treatment may involve the following options:
- Chemical peels
- Hydrafacial – popular treatment with immediate results and no/little downtime
- Spectra - to increase collagen production around the pores to close up on the pores, decreasing its size
- Fractional Co2 laser - resurfaces the skin and increases collagen generation
- Intradermal Botox – to reduce sebaceous activity and pore size
